Crossland & Jones

Casey Crossland and Helen Jones offer expert consultancy to the community and voluntary sector, clinical supervision for staff and reflective practice group work.

Between us we have over 30 years’ experience of working in community-based services, including:

  • counselling
  • clinical supervision
  • peer support initiatives
  • group work and reflective practice
  • advocacy, advice and information
  • suicide prevention
  • anti-stigma campaigning

We specialise in staff wellbeing, especially for staff working with trauma. We offer person-centred, compassionate individual clinical supervision and group reflective practice. We work with front-line and infrastructure staff, managers and leaders.

Organisations which offer clinical supervision and reflective practice benefit from increased staff resilience, flexibility and job satisfaction. External support prevents vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout. Supervisees  report improvements to team dynamics.

We offer consultancy and wellbeing support to organisations in crisis and/or undergoing major change.

We are passionate about action-based social research with minoritised and intersectional communities, our recent projects include:

  • bereavement by suicide in LGBTQ+ communities
  • the wellbeing impact of LGBTQ+ community centres
  • loneliness, migration and mental health in LGBTQ+ communities.

Casey and Helen were fantastic to work with. Their experience and knowledge of the LGBT+ sector, service delivery and funding environment was invaluable. They worked collaboratively with both our staff and service users, ensuring that the finished work met the needs of the service and the people using it. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Amy Roch, Director of Service and Deputy CEO at Galop.
We commissioned Crossland & Jones to undertake a piece of research about the ways in which suicide bereavement is experienced within LGBTQ+ communities. This subject had never been researched from this perspective before.Helen and Casey worked closely with us and with our panel of people with lived experience to ensure our views and concerns were reflected in every aspect of the research and report production. I would definitely recommend working with Crossland & Jones.
